Give your audience the feeling of shredding backcountry trails from the comfort of their home with our Simpson Ghost Chin Mount. You don’t have to be a sponsored pro to use our chin mounts, because they attach easily, stay secure, and are positioned perfectly for capturing your POV while riding.

What Makes Our Chin Mounts Special?

The Simpson Ghost chin mount doesn’t require any modifications to your helmet. No straps, no screws, no velcro. Just attach the mount to your helmet using the included 3M tape and start filming.

Our chin mounts are positioned close to your mouth so it perfectly captures vocal audio for those vlogging trips. It’s also strategically positioned to put viewers on the bike with you while you’re blasting through the trails without getting hit by branches or debris.

Our 3D printed internal weave pattern ensures your Simpson Ghost Chin Mount is durable enough to handle enduro, motocross, or extended adventure riding.

Simpson Ghost Styling

The Simpson Ghost is feature packed. It's ready for communication systems with pockets for speakers and boom mics, and has an internal drop-down sun visor.

What it doesn't have is a convenient place to mount a GoPro or similar action camera, due to the Simpson “tough-guy styling”, which we are going to guess is the weird angular shape of the chinbar.

We can hear you saying, “But Wannabe’s, us street riders like looking as if we are riding with a periscope protruding from the top of our heads. We love the extra drag it creates, and also not knowing that the wind has pushed it straight up at the clouds.”

That’s fine, if you do, but we have found that a chin mounted action camera is the optimal location for a couple of reasons. First, audio pick up is much better. With the camera in front of your mouth you can clearly hear yourself swearing at the idiots on their phones doing 45 in the fast lane. Second, your camera does not stick up making you resemble your favorite Teletubbie character (ours is Tinky WInky, if you were wondering).

Why Choose WannaBes?

Not every rider is going on the pro circuit and getting sponsorship. Most of us work 9 to 5 and still find time to throw some dirt for the sport we love. Our chin mounts are for riders, made by riders. We didn’t like the action camera mounts available and decided to do something about it.

Camera Compatability

Our GoPro chin mounts are compatible with all GoPro models (10,9,8,7,6,5...) available and along with many other models such as Akaso, Garmin, DJI, or Sony. Our mounts are designed to accomodate GoPro camera protective cases or the GoPro Media Mod and will give you excellent tilt-back angles even when you use a case or mod.

*some camera models may require an adaptor (sold on Amazon, Walmart, etc) to convert to the GoPro style mounting forks.

Crash Proof Chin Mounts

The WannaBes chin mounts are now made from a flexible material called TPU which is nearly indestructable. Not only is it practically impossible to break one of our mounts, the rubberized material also acts as a damper for any impact to your camera, helping keep your whole system safer in a crash!

Idle & Cold Start Screw adjustment how-to | late model KTM EXC dirt bikes with EFI systems

I pointed out in my first ride video for my KTM 500EXC-F that the bike had a tendency to flame out quite a bit more than I thought it should, and after adding the GET ECU, I had a few issues restarting the beast. Both situations were pretty frustrating, and of course I caught them both on video. Here's how to fix that.

How To Change And Bleed 🛠🏍 Front KTM Brembo Brakes | Replace Brake Pads and Brake Fluid

As they say, brakes only slow you down, but putting fresh pads on your machine shouldn't cost you too much time. If you have a KTM and need to replace your worn pads, it is actually a pretty simple task with a short list of tools required.

2021 KTM 500 EXC-F | First ride review, initial impressions | Monster Torque, but needs pipe and ECU

The WannaBes team recently picked up two brand new 2021 KTM 500 EXC-F enduro bikes from Malcom Smith Motorsports in Riverside, CA. After swapping out the stock street tires for some proper knobbies and adding a few pieces of armor, we take the bikes out for their first enduro ride and give you our first impressions raw from the trail.
