LS2 made their Subverter helmet to be durable using their proprietary “Kinetic Polymer Alloy” shell which they bill as both strong and lightweight. The Subverter was also designed to be pretty breezy, incorporating 35 vents in their KPA shell. Weighing in at just shy of 3.5 pounds, that is the equivalent of about 14 quarter-pounder (with cheese) sandwiches from a well known fast food chain, so the weight claim might be a little suspect, but we can attest to the existence of the vents.

Those vents made designing an action camera chin mount for this helmet a bit trickier than most of the others that we have made. Getting it to extend far enough from the chinbar to allow the camera to have enough “tip back” angle and not have our mount extend the entire length of the helmet took some work, but we are pretty proud of this design. Tip back angle is important as it allows you to align the camera with your eyeport on the helmet to get a parallel view of the terrain - a little of the bike, a little of the horizon - you know, the perfect perspective.

Facts & Features

Our LS2 Subverter helmet mounts are designed by riders and YouTubers with years of experience creating exciting immersive videos! The WannaBes are enthusiastic riders who expect better from our helmet mounts and video gear.

Ideal for motocross and other riding styles, you’ll get the perfect camera every time from a mount that’s made to complement the curves and style of LS2 Subverter helmets.

Camera Compatability

Our GoPro chin mounts are compatible with all GoPro models (10,9,8,7,6,5...) available and along with many other models such as Akaso, Garmin, DJI, or Sony. Our mounts are designed to accomodate GoPro camera protective cases or the GoPro Media Mod and will give you excellent tilt-back angles even when you use a case or mod.

*some camera models may require an adaptor (sold on Amazon, Walmart, etc) to convert to the GoPro style mounting forks.

Crash Proof Chin Mounts

The WannaBes chin mounts are now made from a flexible material called TPU which is nearly indestructable. Not only is it practically impossible to break one of our mounts, the rubberized material also acts as a damper for any impact to your camera, helping keep your whole system safer in a crash!

Installation Instructions

1. Test mount position on helmet

2. Remove backing of 3M tape

3. Spread mount wings gently

Idle & Cold Start Screw adjustment how-to | late model KTM EXC dirt bikes with EFI systems

I pointed out in my first ride video for my KTM 500EXC-F that the bike had a tendency to flame out quite a bit more than I thought it should, and after adding the GET ECU, I had a few issues restarting the beast. Both situations were pretty frustrating, and of course I caught them both on video. Here's how to fix that.

How To Change And Bleed 🛠🏍 Front KTM Brembo Brakes | Replace Brake Pads and Brake Fluid

As they say, brakes only slow you down, but putting fresh pads on your machine shouldn't cost you too much time. If you have a KTM and need to replace your worn pads, it is actually a pretty simple task with a short list of tools required.

2021 KTM 500 EXC-F | First ride review, initial impressions | Monster Torque, but needs pipe and ECU

The WannaBes team recently picked up two brand new 2021 KTM 500 EXC-F enduro bikes from Malcom Smith Motorsports in Riverside, CA. After swapping out the stock street tires for some proper knobbies and adding a few pieces of armor, we take the bikes out for their first enduro ride and give you our first impressions raw from the trail.
