The first helmet that we designed and 3D printed a chin mount was a version of the original Airoh Aviator. Both the helmet and our chin mounts have come a long way since then.
WHY CHIN MOUNTING?
Like that first version, our chin mounts are designed to hold your action camera of choice at the perfect tip-back angle for the optimal view of your ride.
When you tip the camera back to be parallel with your eyeport, you get just the right amount of your bars in the frame giving perspective as to how tough your ride was, and since you go where you look, your camera will follow the action.
Chin-mounting also puts the camera in the perfect spot to pick up audio for the vlogger on the go. Whether you are talking about the trail in a calm manner or screaming because you braaped when you should have blipped, you will get clear audio, with or without the GoPro Media Mod.
DESIGNED BY RIDERS, FOR RIDERS
Being riders ourselves we understand that little things like providing the ability to change batteries without removing the camera by placing the mounting screw on the opposite side of the access door on most GoPro cameras get you back on the trail quicker. You can still remove the camera, obviously, and to keep your videos consistent we included markings on the mount so you spend less time getting the same camera angle.
INDESTRUCTIBILITY, WE GUARANTEE IT
Those first mounts that we made were great, but much like Airoh did with the Aviator 3.0, we kept advancing. Today we 3D print our mounts using TPU, a rubbery material that is flexible enough to be run over by a truck, yet stiff enough to be a stable platform to record video. Yes, we tried it, and no we don’t think that the helmet or camera would have survived the “truck test”…please don’t try that at home. We are so confident that you will not be able to break our mounts that we will replace one if you are able to. Our mounts are secured to your helmet using the same 3M tape that GoPro does for a secure yet removable solution to your mounting needs. If you do decide to try and run your helmet over with a truck, we also sell replacement tape so you can reuse your mount on your new Airoh Aviator 3.0
FITS MOST CAMERAS
Variety is the spice of life, so we made sure that our mounts work with most camera offerings, including those from DJI, Garmin, Sony, and Akaso in addition to all of the models offered by the originator of the action camera world GoPro. Our mounts also work well with the GoPro Media Mod for those that want to take things to a slightly higher level.

Camera Compatibility
Our action camera chin mounts are compatible with all GoPro models (Hero 11,10,9,8,7,6,5...) along with many other cameras such as models from Akaso, Garmin, DJI, or Sony. Our mounts are designed to accomodate GoPro's camera protective cases or their Media Mod and will give you excellent tilt-back angles even when you use a case or mod.
*some camera models may require an adaptor (sold on Amazon, Walmart, etc) to convert to the GoPro style mounting forks.
Crash Proof Chin Mounts
The WannaBes chin mounts are now made from a flexible material called TPU which is nearly indestructable. Not only is it practically impossible to break one of our mounts, the rubberized material also acts as a damper for any impact to your camera, helping keep your whole system safer in a crash!
Installation Instructions
1. Test mount position on helmet
2. Remove backing of 3M tape
3. Spread mount wings gently
4. Install on helmet ensuring full contact on whole tape surface.
